I have ministered in Canada for over thirty years. About nineteen years ago, I was invited to make a two week trip roughly 4000 kilometers to just north of Vancouver. My first initial thought was to decline the invitation; however, I was given a clear message that I needed to go to search for this one man, which was a world-shaking challenge for me. I went on my quest in finding this, “world-changing man of God,” preaching in church and home meetings. It was during one of these home meetings that I met two gentlemen, both of whom I gave a power blessing to. Almost two weeks later, still not knowing who this man of God was, the two gentlemen I had previously given my blessing to drove me to the airport; who would have known that the two and a half hour drive to the airport preaching to the driver would lead me to the very man I had been searching for. Jaxx Wylde is uniquely equipped and positioned to affect positive change in the many lives of those who have encountered extreme life challenges. Through personal life experiences, including attempted suicide, he understands both the younger and older generation who face challenges with addictions, violence, and dysfunction. Through physical, spiritual, and emotional healing, he is now free of the countless medications he used in dealing with health issues that were accompanied by trauma. Due to his unique personal experiences, he has the skills required to reach others who relate with the same struggles. He has been deeply engrossed in personal growth seminars, including “Choices Unlimited,” with Thelma Box, as well as a coordinator and partner with, ‘Faith in Action Ministries.’ When all other options have been exhausted, Jaxx provides hope to those who feel there is nowhere else to turn to. In this day and age, it is hard to find someone who truly cares about the future of our youth. Most times, programs try to sell a quick fix to “heal,” or bandage wounds. Jaxx is a refuge to so many youths who suffer in silence, or turn to drastic measures due to a lack of parental guidance and care. He genuinely cares for all youth, seeing them as a blessing instead of a problem, listening and taking all aspects into consideration, in order to best guide and direct them to a positive light. Jaxx is eager to look at issues on all levels, and how they impact individual’s mental, emotional, and physical health. I have had the honor and privilege to meet one of the most amazing people through obstacle racing, a sport that brings so many great souls together, Jaxx being one of those souls. He has a glowing personality with a constant positive energy. Amidst the many health issues, and what seemed to be impossible hurdles, he went from a disabled situation on a lot of medications, to running obstacle races internationally. The tenacity mindset it has taken for him to overcome this pain and cross the finish line is truly from someone who has the mind of a warrior. I've known Jaxx since we were young children. The last 50 years hasn't been easy on him to say the least but he has endured through all of it. I can't say that he's come out smelling like a rose nor that he doesn't have any thorns but he has a passion for life! His heart for the oppressed and beaten of this world is second to none.
